Coldplay is all set to return to India in 2025 for their first-ever solo concert. The British rock band will be performing at the DY Patil Sports Stadium in Mumbai in January 2025. The concert is part of the band’s Music of the Spheres World Tour, which began in 2022. The tour has taken the boys to various locations across the globe, including Asia, Latin America, Europe, North America, and Australia.

Coldplay announces India tour

The India tour of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour will take place on January 18 and 19 at the DY Patil stadium in Mumbai. As per the announcement, the tickets for the same will go on sale on September 22 at noon. A mystery guest is to be expected and will be announced in the coming weeks.

This isn’t the first time Coldplay has performed in India or shown their love for the country. In 2016, as a part of the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai, the band played here. Their setlist included a classic Indian greeting and a rendition of the Indian national anthem. They even shot their music video, Hymn for the Weekend, in India in October 2015. The shoot place at several locations, such as Worli Village in Mumbai, Fort Vasai in Vasai, and Kolkata. The track featured actress Sonam Kapoor.

Fans are excited about the upcoming concert, with several brands commenting on social media about their excitement. Spotify India wrote, “Did we fall asleep and wake up in para, para, paradise?” . Starbucks India wrote, “Spilled our coffee in pure excitement cause we were literally waiting for ‘Something just like this!'”
